Q: Do You Sell Bicycles?
No. Mazlow exists only to help you decide which bike might be right for you. Ultimately, you will want to visit your local bike shop to see (and even test ride) your bike selection.

Q: How Many Bikes are Listed in Your Database?
We currently have 350 bike models listed in the Mazlow database, which represents a large cross section of manufacturers and bicycle types. Please contact us if you would like a bike(s) added to our database.

Q: Is Every Bike Model in the World Listed on Mazlow?
No. The goal of Mazlow is to provide an easy to use method for finding bicycles. In keeping with that goal, we have limited the manufacturers in our database to those who have several dealer locations in the United States. This helps to ensure that you are able to physically find the bike that you want once you have found it on the site. In addition, only the latest models offered by each manufacturer are listed on the site to keep you from finding the bike you want, only to find out that it is an older model that is no longer available.

Q: How did You Come up with the Breakdown of Bicycle Types?
Every bicycle manufacturer groups their models a little differently. Mazlow was designed to help the casual bicycle enthusiast with a bicycle purchase decision. To aid in this process, we took the most common categories (Mountain, City/Path, Comfort, Road, BMX and Kids) and presented them for you to choose from. While we recognize there can be several sub-categories within each of these bicycle types, we feel that the average bicycle enthusiast appreciates us keeping it simple for them.

Q: Why Does your Search Criteria Make use of only 5 Components?
These are the major components you should consider when looking at purchasing a bicycle. While many other components make up a complete bicycle, the casual bicycle enthusiast has a difficult task in understanding the difference in those components. Mazlow helps you to understand the differences in the major components of a bike and leaves it to you to determine which bike and it's components are right for you.

If you feel that one of the components is not important to you, simply choose "No Preference" and that component is essentially ignored when generating your results.

Q: Can you Give Me More Information About Specific Components?
To help you understand specific components a little better, please refer to the Mazlow component glossary.
